Previous FBI director James the former director has pleaded not guilty to providing misleading information to US legislators and impeding a lawmaking procedure.

The former director's attorney filed the response representing him in a federal court in the Virginia city of Alexandria on Wednesday morning.

His attorney stated he would attempt to have the case thrown out for multiple causes including that his client, a detractor of Donald Trump, was being singled out.

The former director was charged soon after Donald Trump urged his chief prosecutor to proceed against him.
